.CHECK DTC. 1) Fully open the rear gate. 2) Turn the ignition switch to OFF. 3) Wait for five seconds or more. 4) Turn the ignition switch to ON. 5) Wait for five seconds or more. 6) Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read DTC of PRG CM. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) | Is DTC B2514 displayed- (Current malfunction) | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION | Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. |
.CHECK CURRENT DATA. Check «Ignition Signal» and «IGN SW» using the Subaru Select Monitor. Read Current Data NOTE: When confirming the current data, display only 2 items to be checked at a time. | When the ignition switch is turned to ON/OFF, are these two data synchronized- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION | When «Ignition Signal» is not synchronized: Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION When «IGN SW» is not synchronized: Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION |
.CHECK CONNECTOR. 1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF. 2) Disconnect the PRG CM connector in the order of (R423) > (R422). | Is there poor contact of connector- | Repair or replace the poor contact of connector. | Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. |
.CHECK CURRENT DATA. Check the current data «Voltage of IGN» of body integrated unit using Subaru Select Monitor. Read Current Data | When the ignition switch is turned to ON/OFF, does the value change- (At ON: 10 — 15 V) | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION | Check the body control system. Basic Diagnostic Procedure > PROCEDURE |
.CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT). 1) Disconnect the PRG CM connector in the order of (R423) > (R422). 2) Disconnect the body integrated unit connector. 3) Measure the resistance between PRG CM connector and body integrated unit. Connector & terminal (i81) No. 18 — (R422) No. 10: | Is the resistance less than 10 -- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION | Repair or replace the open circuit of harness. |
.CHECK HARNESS (GROUND SHORT CIRCUIT). Measure the resistance between PRG CM connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (R422) No. 10 — Chassis ground: | Is the resistance 1 M- or more- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION | Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness. |
.CHECK HARNESS (SHORT CIRCUIT IN LIN COMMUNICATION LINE). 1) Turn the ignition switch to ON. 2) Measure the voltage between PRG CM connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (R422) No. 10 (+) — Chassis ground (−): | Is the voltage less than 1 V- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION | Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness. |
.CHECK HARNESS. 1) Turn the ignition switch to ON. 2) Measure the voltage between PRG CM connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (R422) No. 12 (+) — Chassis ground (−): | Is the voltage 9 V or more- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2514 IGNITION | Repair or replace the open circuit of harness. |
.CHECK CONNECTOR. 1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF. 2) Disconnect the PRG CM connector in the order of (R423) > (R422). | Is there poor contact of connector- | Repair or replace the poor contact of connector. | Replace the PRG CM. Power Rear Gate Control Module |
