.CHECK TOUCH SENSOR. 1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF. 2) Disconnect the touch sensor (LWR) RH / (LWR) LH connectors. 3) Measure the resistance between the touch sensor (LWR) RH / (LWR) LH connectors. Connector & terminal (D108) No. 1 — (D108) No. 2: (D107) No. 1 — (D107) No. 2: | Is the resistance 2 k- or less while the sensor is touched, and approx. 10 k- when not touched- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2524 TOUCH SENSOR CIRCUIT/OPEN | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2524 TOUCH SENSOR CIRCUIT/OPEN |
.CHECK TOUCH SENSOR (UPR). 1) Disconnect the touch sensor (UPR) RH / (UPR) LH connectors. 2) Measure the resistance between the touch sensor (UPR) RH / (UPR) LH connectors. Connector & terminal (D112) No. 1 — (D112) No. 2: (D111) No. 1 — (D111) No. 2: | Is the resistance 2 k- or less while the sensor is touched, and approx. 10 k- when not touched- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2524 TOUCH SENSOR CIRCUIT/OPEN | Replace the touch sensor (UPR) RH / (UPR) LH. Power Rear Gate Touch Sensor |
.CHECK TOUCH SENSOR (LWR). Measure the resistance between the touch sensor (LWR) RH / (LWR) LH connectors. Connector & terminal (D110) No. 1 — (D108) No. 1: (D110) No. 2 — (D108) No. 2: (D109) No. 1 — (D107) No. 1: (D109) No. 2 — (D107) No. 2: | Is the resistance less than 10 -- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2524 TOUCH SENSOR CIRCUIT/OPEN | Replace the open sensor. Power Rear Gate Touch Sensor |
.CHECK TOUCH SENSOR (LWR). Measure the resistance between the touch sensor (LWR) RH / (LWR) LH connectors. Connector & terminal (D109) No. 1 — (D107) No. 2: (D109) No. 2 — (D107) No. 1: (D110) No. 1 — (D108) No. 2: (D110) No. 2 — (D108) No. 1: (D109) No. 1 — Chassis ground: (D109) No. 2 — Chassis ground: (D110) No. 1 — Chassis ground: (D110) No. 2 — Chassis ground: | Is the resistance 1 M- or more- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2524 TOUCH SENSOR CIRCUIT/OPEN | Repair or replace the short circuit to power supply of the harness. |
.CHECK CONNECTOR. Check the connector of each sensor. | Is there poor contact of connector- | Replace the defective sensor. Power Rear Gate Touch Sensor | Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. |
.CHECK HARNESS. 1) Disconnect the PRG CM connector in the order of (R423) > (R422). 2) Measure the resistance between PRG CM connector and touch sensor connector. Connector & terminal (R422) No. 1 — (D151) No. 1: (R422) No. 9 — (D150) No. 2: (D150) No. 1 — (D151) No. 2: | Is the resistance less than 10 -- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2524 TOUCH SENSOR CIRCUIT/OPEN | Repair or replace the open circuit of harness. |
.CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT). Measure the resistance between PRG CM connector and touch sensor connector or chassis ground. Connector & terminal (R422) No. 1 — (D151) No. 2: (R422) No. 9 — (D151) No. 2: (R422) No. 1 — (R422) No. 9: (R422) No. 1 — Chassis ground: (R422) No. 9 — Chassis ground: (D150) No. 1 — Chassis ground: | Is the resistance 1 M- or more- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2524 TOUCH SENSOR CIRCUIT/OPEN | Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness. |
.CHECK CONNECTOR. Check each connector. | Is there poor contact of connector- | Replace the defective sensor or module. | Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. |
