1. FRONT HOOD OPENER CAUTION: • Install the bumper face - front so that the front end of the under cover (b) comes inside the bumper face - front (a), and the front end of the mud guard (c) comes outside the bumper face - front (a).
• Before installing the bumper face, match the claws on the bracket - front bumper with the engaging position of flange section on the bumper face side. If the engaging position is not correct, the flange section may be broken or the clearance between fender panel and bumper face may not be uniform. 1. Before installation, check the following items. • Cable is free from deformation such as fray. 2. Pull the string attached to the cable - front hood into the vehicle, and install the cable clip and cable - front hood. 3. Install the lock assembly - front hood. Front Hood Lock Assembly > INSTALLATION 4. Install the opener handle. Tightening torque: 7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb) 5. Install the cover side sill - front and the front cover - side sill. 6. Install the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. 7. Install the mud guard - front LH. 2. FUEL FLAP OPENER 1. Install the cable assembly - fuel. 2. Install the pull handle - opener and cover - handle. Tightening torque: 7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb) 3. Install the trim panel - trunk side RH. (Sedan model) 4. Install the trim panel - rear apron RH. (OUTBACK model) 5. Install the lower inner trim. 3. FUEL FLAP 1. Install the flap - COMPL fuel to the saucer - COMPL. Tightening torque: 7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb) 2. Install the saucer - COMPL. NOTE: Securely install the rubber portion of the saucer - COMPL to the fuel filler pipe assembly. 3. Install the fuel filler cap to the saucer - COMPL. CAUTION: Always replace with a new clip, because engagement of the claw weakens. 4. Attach the ring clips. CAUTION: Always replace with a new part, because engagement of the claw weakens. 5. Install the fuel filler pipe protector. 6. Install the cable assembly - fuel. 7. Install the trim panel - trunk side RH. (Sedan model) 8. Install the trim panel - rear apron RH. (OUTBACK model) |
