1. SEDAN MODEL CAUTION: • Refer to “CAUTION” of “General Description” before handling the airbag system components. General Description > CAUTION • If the hook - rear seat is disconnected from the vehicle body, make sure to replace the hook - rear seat with a new part to prevent the decline of the fixed force of the seat. 1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. NOTE: • On CVT models, shift the select lever into “N” before disconnecting the battery ground cable. • For models with power seat, remove the slide rail installing bolt before disconnecting the ground terminal from the battery sensor. 2. Remove the front seats. Front Seat > REMOVAL 3. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Rear Seat > REMOVAL 4. Remove the console box assembly and the cover - shift lever. Console Box > REMOVAL 5. Cover the following areas to protect from damage. • Steering wheel • Instrument panel surface • Glove box surface 6. Remove the lower inner trim on the RH and LH sides. Lower Inner Trim > REMOVAL 7. Remove the upper inner trim on the RH and LH sides. Upper Inner Trim > REMOVAL 8. Remove the clips, and remove the trim panel - rear pillar UPR on the left and right sides. NOTE: Remove the seat belt from the opening. 9. Remove the following parts from the passenger’s side rear door. • Rear door trim assembly: Door Trim > REMOVAL • Rear speaker assembly: Rear Speaker > REMOVAL • Checker assembly - rear door: Rear Door > REMOVAL 10. Remove the overhead console assembly. (Models without EyeSight) Spot Map Light > REMOVAL 11. Remove the stereo camera cover. (Models with EyeSight) Stereo Camera > REMOVAL 12. Remove the left and right sun visor assembly. Sun Visor > REMOVAL 13. Remove the light assembly - room. Room Light > REMOVAL 14. Remove all assist grip assembly. Assist Grip > REMOVAL 15. Remove the sunroof garnish. (Model with sunroof) 16. Remove the trim panel - roof assembly. (1) Remove the harness clamp of the cord assembly - antenna feeder and the cord - roof, and disconnect the connectors. (2) Remove the clip and the weather strip - body side flange from the front/rear and left/right doors, and remove the trim panel - roof assembly.
(3) Slightly bend the rear end of the trim panel - roof assembly along the character line, and take it out of the vehicle from the passenger’s side rear door opening. CAUTION: Be careful of the bending direction. If the direction is wrong, the trim panel - roof assembly may be wrinkled. 2. OUTBACK MODEL CAUTION: • Refer to “CAUTION” of “General Description” before handling the airbag system components. Remove the side pad assembly - backrest, trim panel - rear apron and rear quarter trim UPR. Rear Quarter Trim > REMOVAL 6. Remove the overhead console assembly. (Models without EyeSight) Spot Map Light > REMOVAL 7. Remove the stereo camera cover. (Models with EyeSight) Stereo Camera > REMOVAL 8. Remove the left and right sun visor assembly. Sun Visor > REMOVAL 9. Remove the light assembly - room. Room Light > REMOVAL 10. Remove all assist grip assembly. Assist Grip > REMOVAL 11. Remove the sunroof garnish. (Model with sunroof) 12. Remove the trim panel - roof assembly. (1) Remove the harness clamp of the cord assembly - antenna feeder and the cord - roof, and disconnect the connectors. Installation
1. Install the intake oil control solenoid to the chain cover, and connect the connector to the intake oil control solenoid.NOTE:• Use new O-rings.• Apply engine oil to O-ring.Tightening torque:6.4 N·m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)2. Install the air intake duct. (RH side only) Air Intak ...
