WARNING: Place “NO OPEN FLAMES” signs near the working area. 1. PULSATION DAMPER RH 1. Remove the collector cover. (1) Carefully pull up the rear of collector cover at two positions (A). (2) Carefully pull up the front of collector cover at two positions (B) while moving it forward. 2. Release the fuel pressure. Fuel > PROCEDURE 3. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE 4. Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap. NOTE: This operation is required to release the inner pressure of the fuel tank. 5. Loosen the clamp (A) securing the air intake boot. 6. Remove the bolt (B) securing the air intake boot to the collector cover bracket. 7. Remove the air intake boot from the throttle body and the air cleaner case (rear), and move it to the left side wheel apron. 8. Remove the fuel pipe protector RH. 9. Remove the pulsation damper RH from the fuel injector pipe RH. CAUTION: • Be careful not to spill fuel. • Catch the fuel from the pipes using a container or cloth. 2. PULSATION DAMPER LH 1. Remove the collector cover. (1) Carefully pull up the rear of collector cover at two positions (A). (2) Carefully pull up the front of collector cover at two positions (B) while moving it forward. 2. Release the fuel pressure. Fuel > PROCEDURE 3. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE 4. Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap. NOTE: This operation is required to release the inner pressure of the fuel tank. 5. Disconnect the connector (A) and terminal (B) from the generator. 6. Disconnect connectors (C) and (D) from A/C compressor, and remove the generator cord from clip (E). 7. Remove the clip (F) securing the generator cord to the fuel pipe protector LH, and move the generator cord to the left side wheel apron. 8. Disconnect the PCV hose. 9. Remove the fuel pipe protector LH. 10. Remove the pulsation damper LH from the fuel injector pipe LH. CAUTION: • Be careful not to spill fuel. • Catch the fuel from the pipes using a container or cloth. |
