Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual: Removal

CAUTION:

Before handling the airbag system components, refer to “CAUTION” of “General Description” in “AIRBAG SYSTEM”. General Description > CAUTION

1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. NOTE

2. Remove the heater and cooling unit assembly. Heater and Cooling Unit > REMOVAL

3. Pull out the heater core. Heater Core > REMOVAL

4. Remove the screws, and remove the duct - foot assist.

5. Remove the heater case lower.

(1) Remove the clip, and remove the connector.

(2) Remove the packing.

(3) Remove the screw and lock, then remove the heater case lower.

6. Remove the evaporator.

7. Remove the expansion valve - cooling. Expansion Valve > REMOVAL

8. Remove the evaporator sensor. Evaporator Sensor > REMOVAL

1. Check the evaporator fin for dust. Blow with compressed air or flush fins with water as needed.2. If any oil leak is found from the evaporator, replace the evaporator. ...
