1. LOW-PRESSURE HOSE 1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE 2. Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery Procedure > PROCEDURE 3. Remove the bolts and detach the hose - pressure discharge on the compressor side. (H6 model) 4. Remove the bolts and remove the hose - pressure suction. CAUTION: • Do not apply excessive force to the hose. • Seal the disconnected hose, compressor assembly and engaging part of expansion valve with a plug or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering. 2. HIGH-PRESSURE HOSE 1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE 2. Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery Procedure > PROCEDURE 3. Remove the reservoir tank. • H4 model: Reservoir Tank > REMOVAL • H6 model: Reservoir Tank > REMOVAL 4. Remove the bolts and remove the hose - pressure discharge. CAUTION: • Do not apply excessive force to the hose. • Seal the disconnected hose, compressor assembly and engaging part of compressor with a plug or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering. 3. A/C PIPE 1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE 2. Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery Procedure > PROCEDURE 3. Remove the battery and battery box. • H4 model: Battery > REMOVAL • H6 model: Battery > REMOVAL 4. Remove the air intake boot. • H4 model: Air Intake Boot > REMOVAL • H6 model: Air Intake Boot > REMOVAL 5. Remove the clutch pipe, connector and connector bracket. (MT model) Clutch Pipe and Hose > REMOVAL 6. Remove the reservoir tank. • H4 model: Reservoir Tank > REMOVAL • H6 model: Reservoir Tank > REMOVAL 7. Remove the bumper face - front. Front Bumper > REMOVAL 8. Remove the active grille shutter. (H4 model) Active Grille Shutter > REMOVAL 9. Remove the bolts and detach the hose - pressure suction. CAUTION: Seal the disconnected hose and engaging part of expansion valve with a plug or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering. 10. Remove the pipe - evaporator cooling. (1) Remove the clamp and remove the vacuum hose. (2) Remove the cable clamps and bolts, and remove the battery cable bracket. (3) Remove the engine harness clips. (4) Disconnect the pressure switch connector. (5) Remove the bolt, and detach the pipe - evaporator cooling. (6) Remove the clip - pipe and the clip, and remove the pipe - evaporator cooling in numerical order as shown in the figure. CAUTION: • Do not apply excessive force to the pipe. • Seal the disconnected pipe, expansion valve and engaging part of condenser with a plug or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering. • Do not pull the harness and cable forcibly. |
Compression inspection
CAUTION:After warming-up, engine becomes very hot. Be careful not to burn yourself during measurement.NOTE:• Before checking the compression pressure, the compression condition of each cylinder can be confirmed as a guide by using the compression measurement mode in Subaru Select Monitor. Act ...
