.CHECK HARNESS (CHECK FOR OPEN CIRCUIT). 1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF. 2) Disconnect the connectors from the VDCCM&H/U and rear brake caliper RH. 3) Measure the resistance between VDCCM&H/U and rear brake caliper RH connector. Connector & terminal (B310) No. 34 — (R153) No. 2: (B310) No. 35 — (R153) No. 1: | Is the resistance less than 1 -- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1954 RH ACTUATOR | Repair harness and connector between VDCCM&H/U and rear brake caliper RH connector. |
.CHECK HARNESS (CHECK FOR GROUND SHORT CIRCUIT). Measure the resistance between the rear brake caliper RH connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (R153) No. 1 — Chassis ground: (R153) No. 2 — Chassis ground: | Is the resistance 1 M- or more- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1954 RH ACTUATOR | Repair ground short of harness between VDCCM&H/U and rear brake caliper RH connector. |
.CHECK HARNESS (CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT TO POWER SUPPLY). 1) Turn the ignition switch to ON. 2) Measure the voltage between the rear brake caliper RH connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (R153) No. 1 (+) — Chassis ground (−): (R153) No. 2 (+) — Chassis ground (−): | Is the voltage less than 1 V- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1954 RH ACTUATOR | Repair short to power supply of harness between VDCCM&H/U and rear brake caliper RH connector. |
.CHECK POOR CONTACT OF CONNECTORS. | Is there poor contact of power supply circuit, ground circuit and VDCCM&H/U connector- | | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1954 RH ACTUATOR |
.CHECK REPEATABILITY. 1) Connect all connectors. 2) Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Clear Memory Mode 3) Perform the Inspection Mode. Inspection Mode 4) Read the DTC. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) | Is the same DTC displayed- | Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1954 RH ACTUATOR | Temporary poor contact occurs. |
.CHECK REAR BRAKE CALIPER. 1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF. 2) Disconnect the connectors from rear brake caliper RH. 3) Measure the resistance between rear brake caliper RH terminals. | Is the resistance less than 100 -- | Replace the VDCCM&H/U. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U) | Replace the rear brake caliper RH. Rear Disc Brake Assembly |
